Declining wages and job opportunities, coupled with rising inflation, are causing many in the U.K. to feel financially stressed. Many workers are being forced to find a second job.
Rising part-time applications can partially be attributed to the fact that many people are choosing to work two part-time jobs in lieu of a full-time position.
Many workers still don’t inform their primary employer of their second job, making it a liability issue for the primary employer. Employers could ultimately be held responsible for workers going above the 48hr/wk threshold at between both jobs and becoming injured.
