Do you have experience in project management, but want to take your career to the next level? Becoming a Project Management Professional can pave your way to a better job and better pay.
If you’ve got a 4-year degree, 3 years of experience, and at least 4500 hours of project management under your belt, you’re ready for a certification. Alternatively, a secondary degree plus 5 years of experience and 7500 hours of experience is sufficient. There are three ways to prepare for your exam: bootcamp, podcasts, and e-learning. Just 35 contact hours of preparation will get you ready for your exam, with a cost as little as $75. Candidates are chosen at random for verification of qualification, including a copy of your degree, verification of experience from your supervisor, and a certificate of 35 hours contact time of preparation. The 200 question, 4 hour test is given at the Prometrics Center, and can be retaken if necessary (for a fee). Once you become a Project Management Professional, you’ll earn PDUs to maintain your certification and stay on top of your field with the latest knowledge.
