Uncertainty for Swansea and Llanelli staff in Comet crisis

Among the many large companies in the United Kingdom that have seen their market share diminish over the years due to the recession, electronics and discretionary item companies have been hit the hardest.  Comet, who owns a number of retail stores across the country, has been forced to consider shutting down a number of their storefronts.

Comet employs over six thousand employees, a thousand of which have petitioned for an investigation into the company’s potential closures.  For many, this holiday season may be stressful due potential job losses.  The chairman of the company is hoping that low prices might be the key to stemming the losses.
