There is no doubt the modern job search is vastly different from the job searching of the baby boomer era. Of course, technology has shaped the way we search for jobs those most – something making it harder to land one, and sometime facilitating the process. Going from shop to shop and handing out applications is no longer acceptable.
Modern workers find themselves at jobs for shorter periods of time, and spend a great deal of time actively seeking out new opportunities. We are also more willing to relocate in order to land a new position, and the complexity of the job search and hiring process has made it more time consuming to search for one.
