Long Term Unemployment Worse Than Having a Criminal Record

There are certainly too many factors that contribute to an employer’s potential hiring of an applicant.  Surprisingly, applicants with non-felony criminal records have an easier chance of being hired, than those who have been out of work for significant periods of time.  Employers are having a hard time dealing with younger candidates who work for less than 1 year at any given position.  The majority of recruiters said getting fired was one of the worst marks on a resume, a person could have – but being unemployed for 6 months to a year was also damaging as well.
