We are seeing more often that your internet personality and lifestyle can affect how you are judged in your real-life professional career.  Statistics show that the majority of recruiters do check a candidate’s social networking profiles – and they are checking for key features to make determinations about the candidate.

Profanity and spelling errors looks as bad on a status update, as it does in a resume.  Compromising photos of alcohol or obscene gestures will also detract from a candidate’s professional appearance on or offline.  Also, an affiliation to professional network is a big plus and recruiters will take notice to this.
