Did you wake up this morning thinking: “I hate my job”?
If you hate your job, it can be an extremely tough time for you, not only whilst you’re at work but also when you’re at home. You are not the only one to feel this way. As you can see in the infographic, it turns out that 53% of employees are unsatisfied with their current job. This figure is even higher amongst those aged 18-24, with 76% feeling unsatisfied.
Many people (76% as shown in the infographic) feel excessive pressure at work once or twice a month. You may feel that your family and friends don’t understand what it is you’re going through. This may make you take your frustration out on them, which can cause you even more unhappiness. It is, however, important to remember that no matter how much you hate your job, you must never publicise this online. Not only might your current employer see your rants and punish or even fire you but potential employers may also see these and be put off hiring you.
Also keep in mind that you do not have to keep the job that you hate. There are always steps that you can take if you are not happy and these are important to be aware of because we spend so much of our time at work. It is just not worth wasting that time being unhappy. The infographic shows that 67% of people think it’s hard to find another job but only 20% admit to actually looking for another job, so don’t be one of the 67% who gives up before even trying. If you hate your job that much, start looking and find another one or at least have some fun in your current job!
