In major developed countries like the United Kingdom, United States, and Spain, governmental laws have been intact to help promote good business practices when it comes to employee ownership.  Business schools around the world have found that allowing employees to share ownership in some form, helps promote the strength of the business itself.

Working for a company that you own part of is a key way to improve long term performance while rewarding workers at the same time.  Ownership can be shared with only a few key employees or with the entire workforce – which is more commonly seen.  There are also issues of individual versus trust ownership, when it comes to important decisions that need to be made.
