Having a college degree is usually touted as the path to success in the working world. This is still the general philosophy, and the numbers support it – especially in the economic recession that the world is facing today. Since 2007 those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree or better have fared well in the job market compared to those with only a high school degree, who have lost 5.6 million jobs available to them.
Also, educated women are in even greater demand today due to their hiring at lower wages, and jobs in the health care field and leisure field have risen dramatically, despite the recession.[pinit]
