In order to inform employers about the rights of pregnant women and mothers on maternity leave, Acas and the Equality Human Rights Commission have developed a guide. Acas’s helpline receives over 15,000 calls from employers and employees with questions on pregnancy, maternity, and redundancy. The guide aims to avoid unfair dismissal of women under these conditions.
