LinkedIn is undoubtedly the only real social networking website geared towards professionals. You won’t encounter drunken or compromising photos or hard honest truths admitted publicly – but you will encounter padded profiles and boasted attributes; in fact, it’s pretty much expected. Employers and recruiters are weary of what they read and take every bit of information with a grain of salt.
The problem with LinkedIn is how easy they make it to endorse another member’s skills or expertise. With a click of a button, one person can give “their word” about another candidates “so-called” ability. Even worse, entire groups of people can blindly be endorsed in a single click as well. People should be weary of this feature and learn to use it with caution.
